The Right to Create: A Nonkilling View, by Francisco Gomes de Matos

That every human being is creative is a fact
attested by an ordinary everyday communicative act
and also by the roles that in Society we enact
although they may not necessarily have an impact

The list of creative things Humankind can do is long
far more extensive than traditionally has been realized
from creating simple implements to composing a song
Is creativity as a mental marvel universally recognized?

Human beings can create for the good of Humankind
but sadly they can produce instruments that destroy
Creativity can help human beings learn to be kind
but alas, humans also make lethal weapons to deploy

Of being God’s creatures, all humans let’s be proud
we should thank for the creativity with which we are endowed
against evil uses of that process let’s cry out loud
and educate ourselves so only nonkilling creativity is allowed
