  • Nonkilling Anti-terrorism Workshops Through Art in India

    July 2010. The Shanti Sena Training Centre, Trivandrum, Kerala, India (attached to the Indian Council of Gandhian Studies) has initiated a series of nonkilling anti-terrorism workshops through paintings, organized by the renowned artist Ignatious Xavier Joseph. The programme began on July 17 in and around Thiruvananthapuram under the guidance of CGNK Honorary Sponsor Dr. N. Radhakrishnan as part of the Nonkilling Violence-free India Campaign.

    This is the first time that such workshops and interactive sessions will be held on the theme of terrorism, peace, nonviolence and tolerance and nonkilling in Kerala. In these workshops the artist will interact with the students and do painting in the new invented Art Style highlighting values of co-existence, Environment Protection, Tolerance, Peace. The artist leading the workshop will be doing the paintings with out using painting brush, adopting the Five principles of sustainable peace consultation with the students. Live painting will also be done on the canvas highlighting values of co-operation and creativity.
