  • CGNK at World Education Forum Preparatory Meeting

    June 2010. CGNK leadership team member Joám Evans Pim participated in the fifth and final meeting of the 2010 World Education Forum Organizing Committee. The meeting was chaired by former UNESCO General Secretary-General and CGNK Honorary sponsor Federico Mayor Zaragoza at Santiago de Compostela, Galiza, at one of the venues that will hold the Forum itself in December.

    The World Education Forum will be held in Santiago de Compostela from December the 9th to the 13th under the auspices of the United Nations and UNESCO, focusing on peace education, peace research and culture of peace. It will run jointly with the UN’s Alliance of Civilizations High-level Group and the Decade for a Culture of Peace coordinators meetings, providing an opportunity to evaluate the level of achievement of both programs and the Millennium Development Goals.
