    • Nonkilling at Human Dignity and Humiliation Studies Conference

    Human Dignity and Humiliation StudiesAugust 2009. The Open Space Session "Are Global Dignity, Humiliation-Free, Nonkilling Societies Possible?" took place on the first day of the 13th Annual Conference of Human Dignity and Humiliation Studies, held in Hawai’i from August 20th to 23rd. The session’s title is linked to the overarching conference theme "World Peace through Humiliation-Free Global Human Interactions". It include the participation of Professor Glenn D. Paige and Professor George Kent, kindly facilitated by Professor Linda Hartling, Director of Human Dignity and Humiliation Studies (HumanDHS).

    The Session comes through CGNK’s partnership with HumanDHS, a global transdisciplinary network and fellowship of concerned academics and practitioners focused on the stimulation of systemic change toward ending humiliating practices and breaking cycles of humiliation. HumanDHS Annual Conference is also be linked to the 6th biennial conference of the International Academy of Intercultural Research (IAIR), which has the theme "World Peace through Intercultural Understanding," August 15-19.
